Hi, I'm Lottie. I'm a travel writer, editor and author of travel guides Dog-Friendly Weekends and Dog Days Out.
​
I've been in the travel writing business for nearly a decade and have writing and photography bylines The Telegraph, The Guardian, The Times, The Independent, the i and National Geographic Traveller. I've done broadcast work for BBC Radio 4 and have contributed to a number of guidebooks and coffee table titles during my career.

I also do copywriting and B2B writing for a range of brands and clients, and I'm a dog-friendly travel consultant working with businesses to expand and develop their dog-friendly offering.

I began my career commissioning, editing and writing digital content for Rough Guides before launching loveEXPLORING for small digital publisher, Love Inc, in 2017. I left the arduous commute behind in 2018 and turned to freelance writing, editing and content consulting.
I've written for the likes of The Telegraph, The Times, Independent, i, HELLO! Magazine, woman&home, Femail, Woman and Woman's Own, as well as US titles such as AFAR, Tripsavvy and Hidden Compass.

TI Media headhunted me to help revive the travel section on woman&home's popular website, womanandhome.com. I act as the part-time digital travel editor there and am responsible for growing the travel section through SEO-focused content.

I joined Love Inc to launch their brand new travel website, loveEXPLORING.com. I came in from the very beginning and helped refine the site's design, create its voice, on-board freelance writers and create the content strategy. After just one year, the site was seeing over 60,000 monthly users.

Starting as web editorial assistant, I worked my way up quickly at Rough Guides to become the web editor. I was responsible for social media strategy, content strategy, special projects and commissioning and editing content. During my time at Rough Guides, our readers increased from 600,000 a month to 1.8 million per month.
